If the GPS receiver is not connected and the plastic cover is over the pins,
I would assume that the BN could not find the GPS receiver. Logical? The
plastic cover on one of my gadgets kept falling off, and I finally lost it.
Since I did not use that particular connector all that often, I just put a
piece of narrow freezer tape over the connector. It works fine.

Hello,
The power supply for my earthmate is no longer working properly. When I
disconnected the earthmate receiver from it by unplugging it the little
piece of plastic that covers the row of tiny pins came off as well. I had
someone assist me with sighted assistance so that we could put it back over
the pins and though it looks correct, it doesn't seem to be working and
gives me the consistent message that the GPS receiver can not be detected.
The battery is full and the power is on, so I can only assume that it's
broken in a way that I either didn't fix or can not fix. Can someone tell me
whether it would be a problem that can be repaired, or whether I can
purchase just the power supply?
Thanks.
Kristeen
