It is actually the direction of travel that matters. If you sat in the =
back=20
and drove the car backwards, it would work fine. If you are driving=20
forward, the GpS has to be in the front window.
You may recall emails on this list about riding on the Virgin trains in=20
England. I have confirmed that the tinted windows on the Virgin trains=20
completely obscure the GPS signal. The same applies to cars. Also, the=20
defrost elements in the back window of a car can block the signal. It is =
the metal blocking the signal.
Just kidding about the direction of travel.
