Hello, Leslie,
I was not well able to understand you. I thought you were saying that you
had manuals in audio format that you could not use. Sorry for the
misunderstanding, but I still do not understand what you are saying.
Yes, they put you on hold in the hope that you will go away when your phone
bill increases. I would abandon them as soon as I could, return the
equipment as defective, listing their refusal to support. Also, tell
Vocational Rehab, that is the important thing. The biggest income by far
for Humanwear is through VR. If that is gone, HW will no longer exist.
Believe me, HW is not the only company that does this. Hundreds more,
including banks do the same thing. The bigger they get, the more
indifferent to your needs they are.

Dick,
Let me clarify what do I mean.
I can read any file of the CD, computer, or BrailleNote. No problem for
me. I also have the ink-print edition and braille edition, too.
I do not mean I can not read but I fail to understand them because of
many new technical words. I am still learning them.
Every Owner's (or Usher's) Guide Manual is focus on its own device.
There is no support between 2 different devices.
I talked with the support once but I can not call there again because
there is always "holding" for many minutes. Last time I called there and
waited for 48 minutes then disconnected. Why? A big frustration for me
and waste my money on the long distance. Ofcourse, BrailleNote has no
800 number for the support. Yes, PDHW has many 800 numbers but not for
support.
I also wrote the emails to them but they delay many days.
I feel Humanware is bad service for me.
I hope you understand about the problem around me.
