Subject: [gps-talkusers] Confused GPS--its quite literally turned around
Hello All:
My GPS software (running 3.3 on a BN Mpower with Keysoft 7) keeps
getting turned around. It will tell me a landmark is ahead and
left, when a sighted person tells me they are looking at it and
it is behind and right. You can imagine the other combinations.
The same thing happens for roads--it tells me I am coming up to a
road, then, after I pass the road, it will tell me the same road
is still ahead, the measure growing as the road, in reality, gets
further behind.
Is this a normal thing, or am I just lucky? Also, does anyone
have hints on a faster satellite fix? Does it help to face it
away from the sun or anything like that?
Thank you, and have a great day,
Alex
