hi It cost around $24 New zealand. It has astrange battery like a half-size AA but they're easy to get where I live. it has an on switch but no volume control. it's also stereo which is unnecessary but still small enough and comes with a 3.5 mm (one-eighth inch) plug which folds down. I've seen better ones mentioned on this list but Radio Shack doesn't seem to want to do business with New Zealand. Hope this helps. Does it need any battery and does it has a volume control? Thanks! Works really well. For mobility safety reasons I don't want to use headphones or an earphone. Does anyone use or know of a tiny speaker that could clip onto the carry strap next to the GPS receiver; ... on the shoulder and close to one's ear? Thanks Deon (London UK)
