[gps-talkusers] Re: BrailleNote GPS problem.

MessageHi Dave,
Thank you very much. Your reccomendation to do a repairing with my receiver did
the trick. I got a sense of how things are supposed to work. That was great!
Sheila, who is just beginning to grasp the awesomeness of GPs!

Hi Sheila, Try unpairing and pairing the receiver again. You will need the
pass code 0000.

    Hi to all,
I just got my GPs receiver for the PK yesterday. I charged up the Blue
Logger receiver yesterday evening and got it paired and set up with Active Sync
for Blue Tooth. While I was on the phone with Sendero tech support, the blue
logger turned on as expected and it started searching for sattelites. However,
when I went outside to actually try it out, I invariably got the message Blue
Tooth receiver not detected. Press V for virtual. I checked the connectivity
and they are paired, but no matter what I did I couldn't get it to come on.
What am I doing wrong?Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Sheila

What about your look around mode settings? One of them is something
like display intersections and POI's. Make sure that's on.

          Hi Folks:

I was traveling with my wife for a drive of approximately 50 miles. I
wanted my BrailleNote GPS to automatically tell me the names of all of the
streets and points of interest as we passed them. I did not want to create a
rout since I was simply monitoring the progress of the drive. If the car
stopped an an intersection, the GPS system would give me appropriate
information. As long as the car was moving, however, it was necessary for me
to constantly query the system for the information. I checked and rechecked the
look around option however, I was unable to resolve my problem.

Am I doing something wrong or is what I am trying to do not possible.

By the way, my satellitereading was very good for the entire drive.

Thanks all over the place gang.
