Terri,
If you plug in the charger can you run the braillenote that way? If so, I'd
plut in the charger, maybe wait a minute or two, turn on the braillenote, and
make a
backup of your data files.
I don't believe you will loose your data with a battery in that bad a
condition, but a backup is a very good idea just in case. That is, if you can
get the bn to
operate at all with the charger plugged in.

My BrailleNote's battery appears to be worn out; it will not take a charge.
According to Humanware technicians at the NFB Convention, the battery
charger is in good shape. I am wondering about the integrity of my files and
programs that are stored internally -- including the GPS program. I will
check with Humanware, but can anyone tell me whether a fully discharged
battery that will not recharge puts me in danger of losing internally stored
material?
Thanks for any help anyone can give.
Terrie
