Hi guys!
Well we had a 2 part maiden voyage this evening with the blue logger and pk.
/first, after I had fed Peggy we took her potsky wotsky up to the dumpster
and the blue logger decided to track all over the heavens. This was ok
because I met Amy and her dog, Cally and Alan and his cocker, Winnie and so
we created a traffic jam on the walking path and everyone wanted to know all
about the blue tooth receiver.
Then we came in, played with the pkand Mom ate dinner and then I took Peg
out for her evening park and said, "I can't wait until tomorrow." So I got
the blue logger powered up and we walked the route Seeing Eye had mapped out
for me which I had copied onto the midro drive where I had to put the gps
stuff.
Anyway, Peg had tons of doggie distractions and was extremely good and we
managed to make the proper turn-off and made it home about 20 past 8.
Actually we got home at 8:23 and Peg had a big bowl of water and I am just
reading e-mail.
Ok here are my impressions:s
This is definitely a keeper.
Unfortunately, I am getting to the age where I don't hear as well as I did
when I was a kid and so when there was traffic on one part of the route I
had to put the pk close to my ear.
My only real criticism and I think once I get used to this is when I want a
reading of how many satellites I have to use both hands which could be risky
in some situations. Otherwise the Blue Logger has definitely picked right up
right where its older brother, the Earthmate left off.
As for the speed in bringing up maps, unbelievable.
I have not had a chance to create routes yet but hope to do so in the next
day or 2.
Anyway I do miss being able to write out the point of interest I want to
choose as a destination. Maybe I am simply not doing this correctly but I
really used that search string all the time andmiss it.
You should all be very proud of the changeover, folks at Senderogroup and I
hope we can get some really updated pois to match this superb effort.
I had no problems in copying my user poi from the old Braille Note and was
certainly glad not to have to recreate them.
