Hello, Gerry,
Sure, you could mark it as a POI, no problem there. You just need to remember that accuracy limitation. You would know when you were near the Forbidden Zone, then procede with caution. Also, do not forget about POIs being too close to each other.

couldn't one mark it as a point of interest so that they could at least know that it is close? Gerry

Your GPS just is not accurate enough to do what you ask. It is accurate enough to tell you when you are within 30 or so feet of that veggie or flower garden or that deep dangerous fifty foot square pit. But, thirty feet is a long ways. Across the street or clear across that garden.

I guess, go to the area, create a POI that says keep out. When you get
near it, just go in the opposite direction.

Good morning to the list,

I am waiting for my unit to be ordered. I was asking a dealer a
question
that I think would be quite important for safety reasons.
I have a 50 ft. by 50 ft. area that I want to block out so that no
matter
where I'm walking this area which is not fenced in will not be part of
my
travel path.
There are more areas such as flower beds that do have rock borders, but
the
vegetable garden does not so how can I label these as a keep out area?

Thank you.

Have a great day,

Paul Bolduc
