I will download that update. I forgot they were supposed to be updating
it.
I just got it last month myself. Thanks. Did you get the voice activated
turn by turn directions for about $10?
What are you using for a keyboard?

Hi Andre!
All I did was turn it on. Version 2 came out on February 17, so, you
might
want to go in to the apps store and update it.
I didn't label any buttons. As for entering addresses, I haven't gotten
that
far, all I was primarily interested in when I was using it was how it
worked.
I think, and I am not really sure about this, that where you enter your
address information is the explore area.
Let me back up to your question as to where I read the directions. There
is
a button which tells you your location e. g. 7777 E. Main Street,
Scottsdale, Montere Vista, Arizona, Mericopa 85251 if how they say it.
But let me go back to where you insert an address.
Ok, there is a button pretty close to the end of a row of buttons on the
home screen called Area which to be explored. Tap that twice and a
search
field will come up. Here is where it will say "Area to be explored" Ok
If
you want say East Indian School Road, which is the main drag through
Scottsdale, Arizona Write Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.
Go over to the ok button and it will come up with the name of the road
you
typed in. Thenyou can type in the address you are looking for and it
will
ask if you want to save this or not.
Here there is a description button where you can enter things like steep
steps going up to front door or whatever you like.
It appears to be fairly easy.
What is so fascinating and I haven't done this yet is in the look around
you
can run your finger on the screen of the phone and it will tell you what
the
streets are.
A very intriguing concept very futuristic as to how we probably will
have
our concepts developed in the future.
I hope this is of some help. By the way, a keyboard is enormously
helpful
with this device.
Hth.

figure
out
what was what.
How ad ewhere do you enter an address to navigate to?
Where do you read the directions and location information from? ON what
screen?
Much thanks,

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Ariabne, first impressions:
Hello there!
I've just come back from a rather intriguing walk. I used Ariadne Gps
and
this is my first impression. I have not sat down to actually see how
this
works in detail but here is what I have found thus far.
MPH. You have a button on the home screen which tells you how fast you
are
traveling. For the first time, I actually knew what it actually felt
like
to
travel at 3 miles per hour (The speed at which the first Seeing Eye
Dogs
were trained to travel.)
Address information. As I traveled a mile or so, I was given addresses
as
I
passed.
Explore position: You need to put in information as to where you want
to
explore and since I was moving all the time, I backed out of that.
Location information. I had a time with this, once I got into it, I
couldn't
find a button to get out of it but when I shook the phone, it brought
me
back to the home screen of the app
You also have wifi and data information and on this, of course, I used
my
data plan which is no big deal since I use the cell phone only when I
travel.
On the whole, I am extremely impressed with this little app for
walking.
In
the car, I don't know how I personally would use it.
But, with this and the Sendero Look around for general very basic
exercising
your dog when you don't want to carry around a notetaker, this should
be
good.
And let me say, yesterday on that trip to the Disability office we
talked
about on thursday, the cab driver said he wanted to keep me in the cab
as
the navigator all day. I used the Sendero GPS and he told me his gps
was
keeping up nicely with mine.
Happy traveling, everybody!
