I recently came upon a situation that I was uncertain on how best to
accomplish what I needed to do with the braille note gps. I was traveling
in a vehicle on an interstate highway. The driver was uncertain of where
she needed to turn. I wanted to find the road she was looking for on my
braille note but wasn't sure what city the road was listed under. If I
could have set the point at which the highway intersected the road she
wanted, I could have told her how much farther she needed to go. How would
I have accomplished this with the braille note gps without knowing the city
the road was listed under? What I was thinking of was using the set address
command to set our destination as the point at thwich the interstate
intersected with the road we were looking for. Also, I found that ramps
leading onto and off of the interstate don't allow the closest intersection
to be announced until you are practically at the intersection. I pressed x
on my braille note bt to hear the closest intersection hoping to hear the
name of the street that we would come to when were on the ramp. However, I
only got no intersection nearby when I did this even though we were turning
onto the road the ramp led us to. Once we were on that road, the braille
note did announce the its name. Has anyone else had experience using the
braille note gps to assist someone navigate on US interstates?
