Someone gave me an external antenna a couple of days ago. So far I have
tested it in cloudy conditions and it was not significantly different with
the antenna on the roof of the car as opposed to the antenna that is
built-in the receiver. It would likely not be any better if you are walking
because I think it depends on making a good ground with something magnetic,
like a car roof, to work well. I will play with it more and let you know if
I feel it is worth it, but right now, I don't think so.

I think the hollux works really well, even in my pocket or in a bag
which I have on my belt. Never the less, I was wondering whether anyone
has tried the external antenna with the hollux, and whether it makes any
significant difference as to the number of sattellites received,
particularly in adverse conditions.
