Yay! Thanks for telling us how to do that, Charles. I was
thinking I'd
have to call tomorrow and order in person, since I was surprised
to discover
I don't have a SMA. But now I'm all set, and just have to wait
until I get
the go-ahead to go online and download it. Yay! Merry Christmas
to me from
me. <grin

Yup Scott sure can,

Just go to the Senderogroup website click on Sendero GPS link
and scroll
down until you get to the upgrade section and you can pick which
version
you are upgrading from and then click on the "Order upgrade to
Sendero GPS
v4.2" button.

Charles.

Way To Go Sendero Group!

I too am equally as excited about this 4.2 release and am very
surprised
that Sendero has shot out so many releases this year with
4.0 in July, Way To Go in October, and now 4.2 in December. I
think that
all of the additive features that were placed into this
release will make traveling with the Sendero GPS that much more
enjoyable.

I personally am very much enjoying the fast route creation, there
are
times when the speed has been cut in half. There is nothing
like going into a restaurant and having the menu associated with
a POI
and have it right at your fingertip. And, for those moments
where writing is an issue, making Audio POIs will be very
invaluable. Oh
yeah, and convert those routes into text files for sharing
with friends, colleagues, and family members during this holiday
season.
Sendero has just done such an outstanding job and there are
too many features to run through and describe in great detail in
this
message.

I would encourage people to read the Changes documentation that
outlines
all of the changes between Sendero GPS version 4.03 and
Sendero GPS version 4.2as it is another huge step forward in this
amazing
GPS technology.

Special thanks to the Sendero Group and their Beta Testers for
their
time, dedication, and motivation to looking towards the future
and finding the right Way To Go!

Kevin

Hello everyone,

I am really excited about this release and can't wait for you all
to
get it. If you have an SMA for GPS then just go to the Sendero
downloads website and download your new product now! The
mysendero
website is www.mysendero.com and click on "Map and Software
Downloads"
link.

Once you log in using your BrailleNote's serial # and password
you
will have the option to download GPS 4.2 for that BrailleNote.
You
can also check your SMA's remaining by clicking on the "update /
view
user information" link.

Important note: There are no new maps or POIs in this release, so
you
don't have to bother downloading your maps again for 4.2 if you
already have them under 4.03.

Enjoy GPS 4.2 everyone and Happy Holidays!
Charles.

Experience location independence with the new Sendero GPS version
4.2

DAVIS, CA, (December 17, 2007)

Sendero Group, inventor of the first and most powerful accessible
GPS for the blind, is pleased to announce the release of Sendero
GPS
Version 4.2 with 20 new software enhancements. Sendero GPS has
ten
times the US points of interest content versus other accessible
systems. The mPower Braille or regular keyboard interface is
easy to
use and the little PK weighs less than one pound.

New Sendero GPS users will enjoy even easier and more automatic
GPS
navigation while preserving the power of a keyboard interface for
searching and exploring one's environment.

In addition to its wealth of functions and simple operation
developed over the past 8 years, Sendero GPS Version 4.2 now
includes:

* Audio and text files can now be associated with points of
interest. Navigate to a restaurant and then hear or read its
menu.
Give points of interest voice annotations if you like.

* Surrounded by skyscrapers and getting poor GPS readings? Tell
Sendero GPS to go into City Mode and experience more consistent
heading announcements.

* When you come out of a subway and know which way you are facing
but GPS doesn't, you can manually set a heading. GPS will take
over
once you start moving.

* A new map engine improves route calculation.

* Save route directions to a file for printing, embossing or
sharing.

* The Sendero LookAround mode now announces street, city or state
changes.

as
