Hello All,
I'd like to make a suggestion that some of the information in the gps could
be abbreviated so that more can fit on the Braille display--particularly for
those using the PK and 18 cell Braille displays.
The main offender is "metres". Personally I think this should be shortened
to "m". However, if people think that is confusing, maybe it could be "me"
in the same way that "mi" is used for miles in imperial mode.
Other things that could be shortened are "Street" to "st." "drive" to "DR".
So that these things are pronounced correctly, the Keysoft pronunciation
dictionary could be altered to reflect these changes.
I notice that "st" already reads as "street" and "dr" reads as "drive". The
alternative to me would be that "st." Would be Saint" and "dr." Would be
"doctor".
Something for us to ponder.
Kate
