Well this was a totally interesting day.
I was walking and exploring when we came upon a 5 way intersection which I
dread like the plague.
Anyway Peg stood her ground because she could see asupermarket on the same
block.
A man got us across and by jobe we ended up in the lot of the supermarket
and a couple helped us out and then I told them I was going to my street
which they totally insisted was the opposite way from where I was going.
Well, I let them have their way and even drew up a route on the gps and let
them ask people who assured them they were going the correct way.
I figured why argue let _them_ find the error of their ways.
Well, we walked about a mile and came upon the other end of my street which
I simply let them walk with me down andI set the landmark of a church as my
destination. We got to the church and crossed and the woman looked at her
husband and said, Honey we had this poor girl going in the wrong dirrection,
I think this is what she wanted.
I didn't say a word.
But the map was right there and I know I made many errors and should have
declined their assistance but sometimes it is nice to just let the sighted
find out for themselves that we blind were correct.
Anyway have any of you gpsers ever had sighted people insist you are going
the wrong way when your maps are right in front of your noses telling you
you aren't?
