Hi Kathy,
I am beginning to wonder whether you have the case that Sendero
Group ships with the Blue Logger that has a belt clip on the back
which was designed especially to fit in that loop on the strap.
If you do have this case, the receiver will fit perfectly and be
absolutely secure. If you don't have the Sendero Blue Logger
case, it will not work well.

Okay, okay, Rosemary and Vicky! I found this dumb little loop
after all these many days! It's hidden underneath the plastic
shoulder pad thingine, well hid, I might add. Grin. Okay. I'm
still skeptical this will hold that clip well, but it's better
than those other places I've tried.
Thanks, you geniuses for your help. And Vicky, don't I know you
from somewhere? KSB, perhaps?

Hi Kathy, The loop above the velcro channel should not be
velcro. It should
be sewn onto both sides of the strap.

Hi Cathy,
Well, join the club about this goofy conversation. First, I dug
in my PK
box and finally found that strap and looked at it a bit. Then,
I finally
realized I had a strap on my mPower that I could check out.
And, best I
can
tell, above that little Velcro thing that one can unsnap, there
should be
another little place to slide the Blue Logger clip into.

Hi, Rosemary! If you're talking about that little velkro flap
that's just
past that big Velkro channel, I've snugged the Blue Logger clip
under that
little flap, but it still doesn't seem very secure. The Velkro
flap can
still easily flip open. Jeez, I can't believe I'm having such a
silly
conversation, but I'd sure hate to lose my precious Blue Logger
somewhere,
and I do want it to have as much access to the sky as it needs!

Kathy, There should be a loop right above the channel which the
cable
would go through if you had one. . The cable would connect to
the
receiver, go through the velcro channel and then connect to a
battery pack
which you would carry in the accessory pouch which is usually
attach to
the
back of the case. I don't mean to confuse you. Since you have
a
bluetooth
receiver, all cables are unnecessary. You can probably get a
second strap
which only has the loop for the receiver and not the channel for
the
cable.
Contact Sendero and see if such a strap is available. If not,
just use
that
strap and don't worry about the velcro channel that would hold
the cable.
Just look for the loop right above it.

Hi, guys. I'm wondering if I just have the wrong strap,
then. The
strap I have has all the velkro meant for devices with wires.
When I've
attempted to clip the Blue Logger into the strap in such a way
that I
thought the felkro would help hold it in position, the Blue
Logger still
had
a way of becoming unclipped. Perhaps I need a idfferent strap?

from the

Well, I sure don't claim to be all that experienced. But,
I
generally
clip
the receiver onto something like my coat or jacket,
clipping it on my
shoulder that way. I've tried several times just putting
it in my
purse,
but I can't seem to pick up satellites that way. And,
grin, don't
think
that is a stupid question. For, I did look a bit at
clipping the
receiver
on the strap; and, not being sure of the correct way, just
left that
alone.
And, too, for me with the PK, I kind of like having things
as
lightweight
and small as possible, so just use the original strap that
came with
the PK.

Okay, I give up! HI, all! I have a Braille Note mPower
and the Blue
Logger. I'm still utterly new to the Blue Logger
especially. My
question
is, where is the best and safest place to war your Blue
Logger? I've
tried
clipping it onto the carrying strap of the Braille Note but
can't
seem
to
find a place where the thing woon't be guaranteed to fall
off the
strap, no
matter how or where I try to clip it. I've read you can
carry the
Blue
Logger in a pocket or purse but that the best placement for
it is
supposed
to be up where the receiver can see the sky, so I'm a bit
befuddled.
What

Jerry,
We haven't really found that there is an average user so
it is hard
to give an average training time.
For those users who purchase training or have training
purchased
for
them, the amount of time ranges from 3 to 15 hours. This
says
nothing
about how proficient they are in this amount of time.
Most users
don't absorb more than 2 or 3 hours worth of training at
a time so
an
ideal scinario would be two hours of training, 3 days a
week for 2
weeks.
Another key factor is the person's familiarity with the
VoiceNote
or
BrailleNote. If they are used to the speech and
BrailleNote
commands,
learning the GPS comes much faster than it does for the
person who
is
starting from scratch with both units.
There was a GPS Courseware developed for BrailleNote GPS
version 2
and it is being updated for version 3.5. The last
version cost $129
and it is an excellent guide for learning and training on
the
BrailleNote GPS for those who don't learn easily with the
audio
tutorial and manual, which come with the unit.
