[govinfo] URGENT: Graham-Lieberman Photos Secrecy on FDA bill

Senators Graham and Lieberman have attached their FOIA exemption/secrecy for 
the detainee photos (see attached) to S.982 giving the FDA authority to 
regulate tobacco.  This bill is under consideration now.  The House bill, 
H.R.1256, does not contain this provision.
 
You have probably heard and read about the battle over this amendment on the 
supplemental appropriations bill.  It seems we may win that one, but Graham and 
Lieberman have threatened to attach it to every moving bill until they get it 
passed.  You need to inoculate your Members of Congress NOW.
 
You should let your Senators know TODAY that they should not support this 
amendment ? and, of course, why it is important to not vitiate FOIA.
