[goodfeel] Re: Lime ALoud, JAWS 7 and Braille Displays

Hi, Ramy,

Lime Aloud and related support for braille displays is only available in
Lime 8. Lime 8 ships with GOODFEEL 3. Files made in Lime 8 cannot be
transcribed by versions of GOODFEEL previous to GOODFEEL 3.

Regards,
Bill

Hi,

If you want to see music braille on your braille display with Lime Aloud and
JAWS 7, you'll have to make an adjustment to your Lime.jcf file in your JAWS
Shared Settings folder. You need to edit the file manually and change
BrailleMode from '5' to '1'.

Here are more detailed instructions:
- Open notepad
- Go to File | Open
- In the Open dialog you need to go to the folder: C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Application Data\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\7.0\Settings\enu
and select and open lime.jcf.
- Look for BrailleMode=5 and then change the 5 to a 1.
- Save the file and then exit Notepad.
- You should NOT have to restart anything but if it still doesn't work and
you call us for help we'll probably ask you to restart everything<SG>.

Thanks,
Albert
