Sorry you have to go through this. Hopefully, the factory defaults will
solve the problem.
Actually, Microsoft now has Service Pack 3. I think that once you reformat
and go to Microsoft Updates, it will ask you whether you want it. This
seems to be okay, and gives you additional security.
