Hi, John,

However, I assure you, this is not the latest version of this book.
Are you saying that the downloadable version is a more recent edition?
Or that both the hardcopy and electronic versions are both out of date?
Or something else? (smile)

The Dictionary of braille music signs is available as e text from
web-braille. You need a web braille account with the NLS.
You probably can get hard copy from the NLS as well (US 800-424-8567).
However, I assure you, this is not the latest version of this book. But,
if you want something which is pretty good, and still fairly recent, by
all means get it if you can.
Incidentally, you can prevent AVG from posting email certifications and
save lots of band width.

Subject: [goodfeel] Dictionary Of Braille Music Signs
Hi, it's Annabelle.
I'm wondering, when will the new version of the "Dictionary of Braille
Music Signs" be available? I was introduced to this particular book a
couple of years ago, by a blind woman named Jamie Weaver, who was my
Braille Music teacher, and who is now a professor at a University in
Texas. My mother, Mary Jane, has been in contact with Opus Technologies,
the company that publishes this book, and she remembers that their
representatives said it was going to be available in August of 2008, but
it's been way longer than that. I'm currently on the waiting list, and
I'm waiting so patiently for the new version to be available. When I
talked with Gil Bush at the Library Of Congress, he said that a new
version hasn't been made. I currently don't have the Dictionary of
Braille Music Signs. The only book I have is "How To Read Braille Music:
An Introduction". Is there a way I can find the current version of the
"Dictionary Of Braille Music Signs"? Will it cost me anything? If so,
how much? If you have any further information or questions for me,
please feel free to Email me at any time, as I check my Emails several
times each day.
Thank you so much,
Annabelle
