yeah we can expand the whole process gradually as per student interests and
especially when the new batch of first years comes in ..

Yes thats what we are looking for.. anyone can start become a developer by
tweaking small things..and there bye progressing to bigger things..This can
become a platform where they can see the vast range of things they can play
with...

What about starting the whole thing with a show of the short film
bigbuckbunny or/and elephant's dream and a short intro to blender? ;-)
I was discussing with some of my friends who work at graphic designing to
start a similar more simple 3d movie project in malayalam...any students
with 3d animation/designing in their dreams can start chasing. blender is an
excellent software see devashilpi.blogspot.com to see some blogs about that
in malayalam..
blender.org even provides video tutorials

*11.GNU Emacs -Why its called an OS..
12.IRC-HOW to
13.Embedded GNU
14.Phoenix box
15.GNU Octave
*.....
*
*and in the middle we can make it light with topics like
1)DRM, -Why its defective by design
2)Different Free software licenses.
3)GSOC how to
4)Necessity of Free Standards

We could effectively group these topics together to make it more
interesting..
We could try to make a teacher-student collective by inviting teachers too
to the discussions..
As a next step we could assign who all takes which session.

Happy Hacking
