[gmpi] Re: the name GMPI

I'm throwing some more ideas in (some might have been proposed before;
can't remember all of them):

        OSA Open Studio Architecture
        OST Open Studio Technology
        VSA Virtual Studio Architecture
        OVS Open Virtual Studio
        GAP Generalized Audio Plugins
        GPT Generalized Plugin Technology
        GMA Generalized Music Architecture
        MPI Musical Plugin Interface
        APT Audio Plugin Technology
        NAPI Native Audio Plugin Interface

None of these are really checked for conflicts, though some quick
googling gave me tons of hits on some of them. (So does VST, BTW.) I
also noted that OSA is the "Office of Secret Actions" from Return to
Castle Wolfenstein, and OST means "cheese" in swedish. MPI is a
Message Passing Interface for parallel computing, and APT is the
Debian package management utility. And NAPI isn't really accurate,
although the *interface* actually is native even if the DSP runs on
external hardware...
