Four years sounds a bit low to me, I think in that time using double i/o
data will still have a significant cost that it will reduce the track
count enough to annoy users or hurt in comparative reviews.
I tried to find some figures on memory bandwidth predictions for the next
few years, but haven't been able to find any. It certainly hasn't been
growing as quickly as processors speeds, which suggests it will
increasingly become the bottleneck.
