[gmpi] Try to hold of on MIDI debate?

There is already a requirement further down in the document about whether
(or not!) GMPI needs to support MIDI.  Obviously this is going to be a
lengthy debate.  I realize MIDI (or not) intersects with events, but maybe
we can loop back later?
