The plugin requests the level of musical events that it wants. The levels seems to be measure, quarter note, and perhaps 64th note. You pick the level you want, and musical events can only be scheduled to the precision that you ask for.

What if it's queued between beats?  Am I going to get "tick" events?  Those
could come very dense.
