If you want your host to run as a plugin you need to consider that.  Good
design of your host means that when you are running as a plugin, your main
out is NOT the soundcard but an output buffer.  Ditto for multiple outputs
and inputs.  

It's not trivial, but it shouldn't be impossible or even (imho) very hard.
In fact, I'd love to see some suggestions of how to do this in the SDK.
