Perhaps you did not intend that remark to be as condescending as it
sounds.

I spent several months following the GMPI discussion before
contributing any thoughts of my own.  What I found was a very good
technical interchange among a group of bright people who collectively
possess a broad and deep understanding of music software.  I became
interested.  If the results were as good as seemed possible, I would
like to write an open-source GMPI host implementation.

I originally thought there was no technical/non-technical distinction
within the workgroup.  This discussion changed my mind about that.
