[gmpi] Re: MIDI: Common event coding

Just to summarize:

There are a large number of software developers on the group who are happy
with GMPI.

There are a 2nd large group of software developers who have not participated
here, who allegedly are lazy and will ignore GMPI if they have to do any
conversion. We have not heard from this group, but they are mentioned often,
so they must exist right?.

Anyway, As Tim says, it's looking like there is a valid "3rd Option" where
we can all have our cake and eat it too.
