[gmpi] Re: 3.14 UIs

I believe TCP/IP could be problematic for audio and low latency control
rates. UDP would not be problematic for latency, however. 

In a studio with a TCP/IP switch TCP/IP could perhaps be gotten to work for
audio as well....

These observations are not based on experience but on recommendations in
books and online. 

Perry Cook's Synthesis Tool Kit in C++ (STK) has real-time performance
control via plain TCP/IP. Would those having hands-on experience with these
issues please speak up?

This seems like a good idea to me too.
(don't know if there might be technical issues due to longer transport times
when used over TCP though?)
