[gmpi] Re: 3.11 topic: Multi-timbrality and parameters

Modules/Channels, seems a natural way to deal with synth voices.

A synth Voice is simply the next level down in the hierarhy.

I was hoping for:
-Plugin
      -Voice

but I guess if we have to have multi-timbral it's:

-Plugin
   -Chan
        -voice

I don't think anything would prevent you from using the channel slots to represent voices, if that's what you want to do. For a poly synth having a plug/channel/voice hierarchy makes sense since you want to do dynamic allocations from a voice pool, and need somewhere that's not a voice to target the note events, whereas an n-voice mono synth might be able to work as plug/voiceN. Depends on style.
