Is the second part of this statement true ?  What about the case of
automation that is "drawn" by the user with a small number of datapoints.
Surely in that case the host is interpolating between the points which is
not simply "event playback".  Of course the GMPI plugin shouldn't care, it
should just act on the parameters it's getting.

Come to think of it is the first part of the statement true either ?  What
about "hidden" (Req 49) parameters, presumably the host will have no way of
exposing them to automation ?
