[glugot] - Proposal for moving the Mailing List -

Hello people,
We've had a great time on glugot@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx But I think, we should be
using glugot@xxxxxxx instead. There are some pros and cons regarding this. I
invite discussion on these on the list.
There is already a glugot@xxxxxxx mailing list on the college servers. But
it is not being used now. What I'm proposing is that we move the
glugot@xxxxxxxxxxxx memebers to the glugot@xxxxxxx and close the
freelists.org account.
Pros:
- The archives would be on the college servers and hence it would be
browsable from any machine on the college back-bone.
- The mailing list mails need not be sent to an external internet site, and
hence we can save a lot of valuable bandwidth at the college.
- Best of all, we can be proud that our college servers host our mailing
list ;)
Con:
- If the college mailserver goes down., so does our Mailing List. (But
considering the recent performance of our Mailserver, I dont think this will
happen.. but probably I'm biased, coz I set it up ;-) )
