[glug-t] software for reminding meetings

Hi
I want to know abt a software avaliable with linux which will alarm me
when the event/meeting is there or as per my configuration weeks before
the event is sceduled.
is there any such soft? I attimes forget about acoustic dusk and dinner
invvitations from my work
