Since partitions already exist, you will just need to format it to as
an Linux fs(such as ext2, reiserfs etc.).
For ext2 you can use mke2fs.
Read:
man mke2fs
Hope you know how the partitions are numbered under GNU/linux. (C will
be /dev/hda1 ,d will be /dev/hda5)
