Good effort Hemant. But, please note that packages 1, 7, and 8 are non-free
(free as in freedom).
* The license underwhich scilab is distributed prohibits commercial
redistribution of scilab. Except for that you get the other freedoms. You can
say that its partially free. Alternatives: octave, yorick, and many more.
* acrobat reader, havent used it or read the license. But my guesses are that
it is not free(as in freedom). Alternatives: xpdf, gv
* jdk from sun is not free as in freedom. Alternatives: gcj - gcc port to
java, can compile java to byte code, or binaries.
Since ours is a GNU/Linux User Group, freedom comes first. Its better we dont
promote non free software. What do u say?
- Vijay
Non-free* software sucks. - RMS
* 'free' as in
freedom.
