[glug-t] adding DNS servers

Hello all ,
              I see that my ISP nameservers sometime refuse to even
resolve gmail.com . Can someone give me some open dns .Im sure they
exist but if someone can post it here  and also how to add those dns
entries on my ubuntu feisty fawn .
an extra information ,i don't think its needed but still

i use wireless router purchased long back for BSNL connection  .
