[glug-t] Whats this Freedom all about?!!

Hi everybody,
everyone of us here talks or hears a lot about software freedom. But most of us 
donot have a clear idea about what these freedoms are for, and why one should 
promote it. 

When we fight, when we want to stand beside RMS to promote free software, we 
will have to understand what we are fighting for! Many of us keep away from 
arguments against proprietary software because of a lack of understanding of 
the philosophy. Even worse, is when we make the wrong argument and get into a 
tangle!

I donot envision RMS visiting our user group in the near future. That doesnot 
mean that we will all have to have this blurred idea about the free software 
movement. We have taken our first steps towards understanding the philosophy 
behind the Free software movement, by printing the book "Free Software, Free 
Society: Selected Essays of Richard M. Stallman". The cost of the book is Rs. 
80. 

An online version of the book is available from 
http://notabug.com/2002/rms-essays.pdf. We got it printed to make it more 
accessible to everybody. Even those who own computer would find it more 
comfortable to read a physical book. Anyway the choice is yours, if you want a
