Hi..all..
i wanted to have discussion on programming utilities avialable under
GNU/linux.like
1.swig(that we recently found out)
2.gdb
3.splint
4.electric fence
5.cdecl
The list goes endlessly( and u people can add).
one thing we all should be clear about nobody(at least majority of people) will
come to our group merely to listen about philosphy and all.Though we tried to
make our group accessible to people of entire Trichy but it seems that students
of our own college are not interested. They also have a valid reason. They will
not spend 50/- (for travel and missing out the lunch in mesh.) for listening to
philosphy that many of them don't believe. It will be more meaningful if we could
have discussions that could really enrich our knowledge.Though die hard GNU
supporters may argue that we don't want people who don't trust in our philosphy
but still if we really want to spread the use of GNU/linux then the first aim
should be to attract people and not to bombard them with philosphy but provide
them with a clear information on what that they want.
So we got great intial response but interest died.We need a soul searching.and
one thing somebody had said "Never one should forget his roots".So We need to
create more interest among rectians.
