We will have software demonstartions in this slot. Those of you interested in
demonstrating existing GNU/Linux packages please send me a mail, with the list
of softwares you would like to demonstrate.
Examples of softwares that could be demonstrated are
Qt Designer
Kdevelop
DDD
Quanta
Anjuta
Evolution
Latex packages like pdfscreen
latex2html
gnuplot
octave
webmin
zope
ethereal
celestia
kstars
gimp
dia
tamizha
and the like.
If the software is not in the standard redhat distribution please bring in the
RPMs in a cd or a floppy.
Guidelines for software demonstration
* Please choose softwares that you are already familiar with. Do not try to
learn softwares in the last minute. Its ok, if you are going learn a few more
features in the softwares you are already using.
* During the demonstration show the people what can be done with the software,
NOT how to do it.
Please do not forget to mail me the list of softwares you are willing to
present. This way we avoid two people preparing for demonstration for the same
software.
