[glug-t] Re: Rgarding Next glugt Meet of this semester

i would also suggest taking up LAMP .Most of the guys in campus use
PHP/MYSQL for their web works and its time we talk about the apache2 and how
we have to use apache to deliver more meaningful work  and also some CMS
like drupal,plone .
and also discuss the feasibility of custom OS. A linux flavour that we can
sell (distribute) to nitt students. May be ubuntu/fedora with ability to
play video files and also wine to play some games and also lots of
opensource books like byteofpython,django and many more books that people
can simply read with the installed distro and also many develeoper tools
,without a need to setup a repo tools like anjuta,glade,monodevelop.May be
we could build a DVD. That could help students make a shift to linux atleast
in hostels.I particulary know of a reconstructor and i have personally built
a customised ubuntu .
so i would love to work on this.

and i love donnatello`s idea of packaging( rpms and debs) .
And about the schedule i think we can keep it one full day ( weekend) and
have these sessions along with having some people outside nitt to share
their expertise on other topics :) .
