although this has been discussed earlier, here are my suggestions. The phrase 
"Use 
GNU/whatever for the tools developed using GNU" is not there in GPL. Which 
means nobody 
can force you to use word GNU/Linux. But by using the word GNU/Linux we give 
respe 
ct to the principle developers. Without whom there would be have been nothing 
of what is 
linux now. We here are not talking about the specific softwares or programs, 
its the 
philosophy. Just like we respect our elders(calling them sir) without any writt 
en  
     
    Had it not been for RMS(Gnu Philosophy), we all would still be trying to 
make 
proprietary(win works). I personally care about my rights.Its always your 
personal choice 
when living in a civilised society. The glitches of open source is that it is a 
t 
rojan, ie..they concentrate only on the product quality, and not the end user's 
freedom. 
It is like having nice food, clothes, ..every other a man can have but living 
in a prison.

 
  
Source does matter, 
freedom matters even more.
