[glug-t] Off Topic: Reflection/Rants..

Hello!
Its just that people are so badly callous, that some cease to think it is
no more a right of the user to share and distribute sources, of knowledge
or software.
   More recently the I was involved in an Image PRocessing course, which
involved lots of programming. 
   We used libraries like
   1: GTK/GDK
   2: Image Magick
   3: Gd-Octave
   4: GIMP
      
  But some lack of GNU in us, people had to resort to non-free software to
demonstrate FFT,DFT, Filters etc. It was heart breaking. What was intended
to be a method to show the power of free software on GNU/Linux systems turned
a nightmare. I was thinking better not, than this farce.

  Well, once this was over, we are collecting material independently to make 
a small booklet, that will be GFDL'ed. It was during the collection of notes,
that one friend of mine, noted:
  "Since people have paid Rs:250, they must ONLY get the material which we
prepare. Otherwise if everyone gets that material whats the advantage then?"

Infact we never mentioned an exclusive copy of lecture notes.
It can only show, how bad it can be when GNU & GLUG's are still close.

FUD is affecting everyone, and brainwashed the whole youth... ;_(

Anyway. Brace yourself.

Like RMS says,
 "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance".
  and "...lets defend the falling cities".
