So it's not the question of the novell gaining anything is that how to
contribute to the kernel hackers
i have another doubt do device driver's have to be binaries or do they have
rpm's or .deb packages for that too my board is an asus board with a onboard
SIS video card and i find that the support for this brand of cards is
horrible i checked the hardware sites such as XFree86.org and all they have
is lame excuses that the device drivers are currently do not exist for this
board .
In the end for speed and performance and workability i installed the knoppix
with KDE 3 it's a debian distribution so i get to work with .deb packages
and the default package is quite good i don't know how he's done it but the
knoppix installer is excellent even though it is in german
why does debian's installaiton so complicated ?
i am still unable to configure debian on any system .
see you soon
deepak
