[glug-t] Module to parse config files

hi all,
         Iam writing down a installer for planetplanet ( Feed aggregator)
and for that purpose i need to parse the config files.Are there any python
modules to parse these? .I tried using ConfigParser but writing the new
configuration with the module strips out all my valuable comments that
exists in the config file already .
Any other suggestions for parsing config files,preferably in python ?
