Hello Friend!
I ran into some trouble trying to figure out how to install a Modem.
Here are the "Hardware" details:
-> Modem: LT 56K internal Win Modem,PCI bus by Lucent Microelectronics.
-> Distro: RHL 8.0
-> Processor: Intel 866Mhz Pentium.
What I did:
-> /proc/pci listed that it found a Lucent Microelectronics Modem
-> Tried "some driver" from Linmodems.org
-> The driver "ltmodem.o" was compiled using gcc version 2, & I could not load
it
into the Kernel.Also the serial device /dev/ttyLT0 was created.
-> I searched the net.But couldnt make much sense.The sites said it
was to be replaced by a hardware modem,like the one from DAX 56k internal
modem
Please help me.
Thanks in advance
Muthu.
Its more certainly GNU.
