Good work guys. Just make sure that the topics that you have are not too high
funda (python??). From experience we've known:
1. that we always exceed time limits no matter how simple the topic or
how much time is assigned. Take that into account when conducting the course
and setting the topics for the day.
2. People take a LOT of time to understand things, so dont cramp up too
many things on one day. They will probably forget what they learnt in the first
half of the session if there are too many things to remember.
3. Not everyone is a programmer. Though this course might introduce
them to it, they'll take a lot of time to grasp the basics itself (think of all
those who have minimal C knowledge - very tough to talk Linux or anything else
to them).
4. Gdb without GCC???
5. Make your tutorials as simple as possible, with very very detailed
steps. On the lines of the Dummies series if you can.
6. Practice it before you go in. You'll find out if you're going to
exceed the time limit before you actually do (kudos to BVK for that when we
conducted it the first time).
Do a good job.

Hello Everyone,
GNU/Linux User Group of Trichy is conducting a
course for beginners. This course is aimed to give an
introduction to those people who haven't used computer

Besides, there is a wiki hosted in Nitt Intranet
for GNU/Linux User Group Trichy, so that anybody can
contribute their tutorials and how-tos.
The URL in intranet is http://178.1.3.202/glugwiki/ &
