dial up in linux.. me too had a really bad time... but finally found
out that only in some places we really do have ipsp's support for
linux for dial up.. and linux (dunno why) has trouble detecting
internal modem..
so got an external modem for that and tried wvdial after a few
hacks... and finally my modem connects to net.. but i cannot view any
site or even ping google..
but i guess that may not be considered as a big problem.. bsnl
broadband is expanding and by 2007 v shall have broadband everywhere..
and infact some of the services r cheaper than actually the dial up
and obviously faster..
so i guess this v may neglact considering how much more things v have
got to do...
P.S just my point of view.. and no offence nitin...
