I don't they proceeded anymore beyond that announcement. But I am half way 
through the GNU Manifesto. If you can come down to the meeting this month, I 
can show you my work.

I need a lot of help here. The Tamil tools for GNU/Linux are literaly outdated. 
There is an AkaramTex package that comes with a tamil style file. The LaTeX 
program in my Debian3.0r0 distro dumps errors when I try to compile the tex 
file.

The AkaramTex gui which is written in Tcl/Tk no longer works with the 
Redhat9.0. 

Not knowing Tcl, I wrote my own python scripts for phonetic transliteration...
