There is some basic support for docked windows in the wxWidgets library,
but *as far as I know* it's only for Windows. I need something which
works on Windows, Linux and Mac. But don't nail me on that, I havn't
investigated this docking support too much.

I know of all the cool docking stuff one can do, see ZenHacker SGF
editor for example (if that project is still alive, I saw some alpha
version a year ago or so). But those programs are usually Windows only -
that's the price. I am aware that everyone who uses operating system XY
thinks support for all other systems is irrelevant. However, not
everyone uses that OS XY. :*)
Multi-platform support certainly comes with some limitations. The
Windows-only scorer is already bad enough in my eyes.
