Hello,
although the last available sourcecode of the 0.2 release was quite
outdated, a couple of people been interested in the gGo code still used it,
what's basically fine if people want to have a curious glance at the code.
However, the open source release is still being used by people to cheat on
IGS, I lately observed a game with such a cheat, the guy never entered
byoyomi in a 10 mins + 1 mins for 100 stones (yes, 100 stones) game, using
gGo 0.2.
I am absolutely pissed seeing people do this with my software. I removed
the sourcecode from the old sourceforge project page, so if anyone still
wanted to have a look at the sources, I'm sorry. Thank those idiots, the
IGS account name of this one is "thnk".
I still recieve whine mails that gGo is no longer free software. I will
simply ignore them from now on, those people can get lost.
Well, I admit its somewhat pointless to post this to this list, because the
people who read here are neither those who cheat nor those who whine about
the non-free gGo, but I just had to post it somewhere now. Sorry. :)
Peter
